Our Trainer:
Jolynn Officer: Jolynn knows home care nursing and she knows DDSD training. Her 20 year nursing career includes more than 10 years in home care and she has been Director of Nursing for Bios Corporation for seven years. She is a long time trainer of MAT and ECU's Residential Modules: Health Day 1 and 2. Jolynn is regularly commended for her accessible and fun teaching style and as a parent of an adult with DD, she brings her own personal experience to all her students.
Our Classes:
MAT & MAT Refresher:
Unlike most MAT classes our training is DDSD specific. We will explain all standard DDSD forms such as DDS 5, Medication Review, Continuous Medical Record, and even your own medication logs. Two day MAT is $75/person and $50/person for MAT Refresher.
Medic First Aide/CPR:
Medic First Aide and adult CPR is a two year certification. It is not for healthcare providers but will satisfy DDSD policy. $50/person (Cost includes books and certification cards)
Healthcare Coordinator Class:
Healthcare Coordinator's work includes planning, developing, reviewing, evaluating, and coordinating the healthcare of someone receiving services. Participants in this class will learn to implement and monitor practices, standards, and procedures that help maintain optimum health. $45/person
Customized Health Specific Topics:
Often it is difficult to locate nurses to in-service staff on those individual specific topics designated in the individual plan. We can coordinate that for you. Customized health in-services are a flat fee of $200 for the first subject. Additional subjects trained in the same week will receive a 15% discount.
